Wild Country Off-Road
Wild Country Off-Road is a 1,100-acre commercial OHV park on the Chickasawhay River in Greene County in southeastern Mississippi, approximately 10 miles north of Leakesville in the longleaf pine belt of the East Gulf Coastal Plain. The Chickasawhay River setting is the defining characteristic of the Wild Country experience: the park's position on a working river rather than an isolated inland property gives it a riverfront staging area that most southern Mississippi OHV parks cannot offer, two riverside sandbars serve as natural gathering points for swimming and fishing between riding sessions, providing a genuine multi-activity outdoor character. The trail system covers multiple loops through hardwood and pine forest ranging from beginner-friendly sandy stretches to technical creek crossings and wooded single-track that challenges intermediate and advanced riders. ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and 4x4 vehicles are all permitted on the system's route designations. On-site amenities include cabin rentals, primitive camping throughout the property, and a covered pavilion for group events. The park regularly hosts organized events including racing competitions, concerts, and community ride days that draw the southeastern Mississippi and Gulf Coast riding communities. Wild Country fills a geographic gap in the Mississippi OHV landscape: south of the Bienville National Forest trail systems and north of the Gulf Coast, Greene County has limited commercial riding options, making this one of the few established parks serving the Pearl River, Hattiesburg, and Pascagoula markets (601-689-4200).
